Replied by PCW on topic Emco PC Turn 55 retrofit. Note that with Ethernet cards, what's important is that you can meet the servo thread timing. The actual latency is not really important as long as the servo thread deadline is met. Even 400 usec latency would be OK if you can run the servo thread at a sufficient rate.

Re: Retrofitting an Emco PC Turn 55 with Acorn. by suntravel » Sun Nov 06, 2022 3:22 pm. By default in Intercon Setup max. CSS is set to 2000rpm. If you set 2000 m/min CSS in Intercon for 22mm, the spindle will run complete at 2000rpm limit, because this would be 28937,3 rpm.

I'm sure it's either 50hz or 60hz. I have a VFD setup. If I run the motor at 50hz, the spindle is at about 1200rpm on the fastest pulleys. If I double the frequency to say 100hz.
